Vikings
I did work experience for a week on the set of Vikings while they were filming season 6. I previously worked on the show in first year as the main characters son.
For the first day I was helping out in prosthetics. I worked with all the moulds, liquids and fake blood. I really enjoyed making a fake face and then filling it with blood and then watching it pour out of its mouth. It was quite scary due to how realistic it was.
The second and third day I worked as a standby props assistant. That meant that in any scenes that required candles, more dust, background smoke ect. It was my job to quickly set up anything that would have added to the scene or shot. This was challenging because I had to be alert and constantly listening to the radio they gave me so I could respond to their requests as soon as possible.

H&M
I did an week long internship in H&M in Dublin. I was placed in the t-shirt design sector. I started in town at 8:45 every morning in town. I was staying in my mum's house in Greystones at the time so the commute started every morning at 7:30 in Greystones dart station.
The fashion industry interested me so much because it showed me how you can express yourself without having to speak or have a facial expression. Some of the ideas and people there were phenomenal. I have always enjoyed fashion and could possibly see myself in that industry (of clothes and making physical and graphic designs). During my time there i looked at the overall fashion market, prediction and reaction to trends, and the consumer. I enjoyed predicting trends because this involved a lot of media studying. I love following famous celebrities and fashion icons on my Instagram and twitter so this was really more fun for me. The consumer was a little bit more mathematically based. We had to study what the consumer is looking for (trends or styles eg whats popular or just a generic look like summer, winter etc) and markup prices. What clothing items are worth to the consumer and what they are worth to make. In short, how we were able to turn over the largest profit bust still providing quality clothes.
